In the heart of midtown is a small, but bountiful garden fills the yard. Large trees cover the area shading the plants from the sun. Even though the trees shade the heat, water is needed to water the plants. A 300 gallon tank was installed several years ago and is not enough, so a 220 gallon tank was added to collect condensation.
Condensation is a wonderful source of water. It is created from the air and contains no minerals. The hotter the weather gets the more water is produced rain or shine.
The best part about the system is it is on the side of the house where the air conditioner, pots, buckets and compost is stored. Who cares what the tanks look like, because they are out of site.
