{"id":565,"date":"2015-01-12T17:30:48","date_gmt":"2015-01-12T22:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/therainsaver.com\/?page_id=565"},"modified":"2018-01-24T22:27:52","modified_gmt":"2018-01-25T03:27:52","slug":"the-mercedes-benz-stadium","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/therainsaver.com\/?page_id=565","title":{"rendered":"Trees Atlanta RHS at The Mercedes-Benz Stadium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/treesatlanta.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trees Atlanta<\/a> is a nationally recognized non-profit citizens&#8217; group that protects and improves Atlanta\u2019s urban forest\u00a0was given the\u00a0opportunity to collect rainwater off of the roofs of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hhrmjv.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Holder, Hunt, Russell, Moody<\/a> contractors trailers\u00a0for the duration of <a href=\"http:\/\/mercedesbenzstadium.com\">The Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United<\/a>\u00a0construction period of approximately 3 years. The water will be used to supplement the water needs for their downtown plantings. The collection area is almost 8000 square feet and the tanks used will hold 7300 gallons of water. This should cover about 50-75% of their water needs depending on the weather patterns.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-767 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/therainsaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_7992W-300x108.jpg\" alt=\"img_7992w\" width=\"569\" height=\"205\" srcset=\"https:\/\/therainsaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_7992W-300x108.jpg 300w, https:\/\/therainsaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_7992W-768x277.jpg 768w, https:\/\/therainsaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_7992W-150x54.jpg 150w, https:\/\/therainsaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_7992W-400x144.jpg 400w, https:\/\/therainsaver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/IMG_7992W.jpg 864w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 569px) 100vw, 569px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Details include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The tanks were\u00a0repurposed from other projects and will be repurposed after the stadium is complete.<\/li>\n<li>The trailers have been placed in a modular fashion and because of the design 21 first flushes were used to connect each downspout instead of connecting the gutters on connected trailers. The Rain Harvesting First Flush filters were used, because of the large amount of dust from the construction site and the lack of a pump to clean internal filters.<\/li>\n<li>The 21 first flush devices and piping will be repurposed at other sites though out the city when the time period is over.
