In Spring of 2008 I was approached by the team from WTBS’ Movie and a Makeover to install a rainwater system for a roof deck garden in the Castleberry Hill neighborhood in Atlanta. The garden consists of only ornamental grasses to add a bit of green to the deck. The system consists of 2 – 100 gallon tanks and a small 3 gallon per minute pump to run the system. The collection area is 8 x 20 feet and even though a first flush is not installed the water stays clean. The height of the building allows little organic material to enter the system.
